Protein factory
« on: November 20, 2007, 03:37:29 AM »
Anyone buy from this company?  Looking at buying a new protein powder and wanted to hear what people thought as their website does a good job of hyping up the quality of the product that they produce.  Anyone have any other protein powder they recommend?  Trying to gain some lean muscle mass (like everyone else) and would appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks.

I've never had a problem with them.

I have been using them for seven years. I have had only one problem with receiving the wrong product.
Not bad out of about four orders a year of custom mixes.

I've ordered from them for just over 7 years now and have had only one "problem" with an order (computer glitch caused a double order).  The quality of the powders is excellent.  Service and shipping are excellent as well.  I tend to stick with a concoction of whey and milk isolates with some caseinate or micellar casein.  I've tried milk isolate by itself and find it to be quite thick but otherwise very good. CFM whey is fine but pricey these days.  Soy XT is good in small amounts also.  I'll never buy prepackaged store stuff again after using Proteinfactory.

Truprotein.com is also good but ends up costing more because of shipping to where I live.

Hope this helps.

I am looking for a protein for recovery after workout and one that I can use throughtout the day.  Probably should get two different types.  JUst seeing what different people that bought form them recommended for gaining lean body mass.

I just use a little bit of BCAA's with some simple carbs post workout & then have a meal about a half hour or so later. I'll keep about five pounds of whey concentrate around for general use. If I want to slow it's digestion I'll add some fat or fiber to it.

Personally the price of protein is getting outragous so I don't envision buying too much anymore. Maybe just stick with the BCAA's & whatever I can get on clearance.

I second that.  It's difficult for me to get as many meals as I'd like in throughout the day due to work without protein shakes and MRP's but the price of protein is really pushing me to make other arrangments.  I just have a very chaotic schedule so it's near impossible for me to sit down to eat 5 times at work.

Same here. I try to make a larger meal to eat sometime during my shift & then keep healthy snacks with me for during the day (fruits, nuts, protein bars, etc). Now weekends are a different story - I pig out.  ;D
