Any "for-profit" news organization, whether it be Fox, AOL/Time-Warner, CNN, MSNBC, etc...should not be taken as a source of complete credibility. The best thing they can offer is sports scores, weather reports, and traffic updates. Anything else is to be seriously put into question and never taken at face value for truthfulness and unbiased reporting.
But, hey...that's what we have the free market for. I can search the internet for literally dozens of news stories from differing media outlets. I can compare stories between the big media sources. In this day and age, everyone has a camera. I get news from Iraq from 5 Soldiers and Marines that I personally know over there(aside from anything deemed as classified).
I don't think anyone should be complaining about news media. Turn the shit off. It's YOUR responsibility in the Information Age to get the correct information. I stopped relying on major networks long ago, though I do enjoy the spoonfed bullshit they like to give people from time to time. Sometimes something relevant comes across. CNN is just as bad as Faux News, just more subtly so: I give you this example:
This is a stretch of course, but just look at the news ticker behind Ron Paul. I try to discount the conspiracy stuff in this vid, but the damned news ticker behind Dr. Paul.......Jesus.
Faux News at work in typical fashion. I'm not a Hillary supporter by any means, but look at the goon squad at work. It's laughable!
