I went out for a jog on the beach like I do every friday evening. I was going down the same hill I went for the last 200 times when jogging there, however this time at the very fucking end of it there were few steps (like half meter) that I decided to hop over, well I dont exactly remember if I actually jumped down or just took a wide step.
Either way after landing my right ankle got twisted, I heard a *click* or a pop (damn this sounds crappy) and fell on the floor coz I realized something bad probably happened and I rather not take another step. Sitting down there I felt a rather painful feeling in my ankle and I knew that I am probably not going to run any time soon
. I then noticed that I lost the feeling in the area of the ankle and it got swollen. After a while I went back home and it didn't really hurt or anything (walked back for a good 20 minutes), although it felt numb. I applied ice on the swollen area twice already. The numb feeling went away. I get an uncomfortable feeling walking and I don't even think trying to move it around coz I'm afraid it will hurt like a fucker. Generally doing regular house stuff doesnt seem to hurt much although I'm limping abit.
I going to see a doctor on sunday, but I would like to hear from your expirience about how it was for you. The pop I heard makes me kinda scared although I would often get pops in my ankle when it was placed in an ankle twist position but it never got swollen.
Do you think I should avoid any physical activity which envolves the legs (e.g squat.. leg day tomorrow
) even if it doesnt hurt doing it? I tried squatting and I don't feel much pain although I assume with added weight it will probably be really uncomfortable.
Given the symptoms I described above do you think I could have torn a lingament, considering that I can walk without much pain.
