people that are in line and checking out, then realize they forgot something and go to get it.
{blush} guilty. I'm always doing that.
having to wait for a price check.
You definitely don't want to be in line behind me then. {lol} In Canada, if the price of a non-ticketed item scans up incorrectly, the item becomes free. Many supermarkets are lazy about updating their computers, so I watch the prices as they ring up, ...I'm always getting free groceries because of that.
In my defense though, it's gotten to the point where I know which items scan up wrong,
...and I will put them on the belt at the end of the process, in order to speed things up for everyone.
One day I got the shock of my life... my poppy seed bagels scanned up at the correct price.
Both the cashier and I almost fell over. She was about to void the item as usual, but it scanned up correctly.
I guess the manager finally got around to programming the computer,
...but I got free bagels for 6 months, and Camp Jumoke got $45 in contributions.
