The person on the checkout line in front of you has a bunch of stuff, but only after the cashier rings up the total do they begin to reach into their pocket/pocketbook, as if there was a chance that they weren't going to have to pay.

people that use checks.

people that are in line and checking out, then realize they forgot something and go to get it.

having to wait for a price check.

{blush} guilty. I'm always doing that.   :-[

You definitely don't want to be in line behind me then. {lol} In Canada, if the price of a non-ticketed item scans up incorrectly, the item becomes free. Many supermarkets are lazy about updating their computers, so I watch the prices as they ring up, ...I'm always getting free groceries because of that.  :D

In my defense though, it's gotten to the point where I know which items scan up wrong,
...and I will put them on the belt at the end of the process, in order to speed things up for everyone.

One day I got the shock of my life... my poppy seed bagels scanned up at the correct price.  :o
Both the cashier and I almost fell over. She was about to void the item as usual, but it scanned up correctly.

I guess the manager finally got around to programming the computer,
...but I got free bagels for 6 months, and Camp Jumoke got $45 in contributions.  ;D

Every night before I go to bed I go to various threads and instigate shit with people. I get on sometimes during the day but usually getbig has to wait until the late evening.  By then I've forgotten which threads I've been instigating in and who's chain I've been pulling.  i am thus wasting perfectly good flames.  How do you ladies deal with this problem?

A while back I was in Utah, and I was shopping with my best friend (who happens to be a man)
I wanted to go into the Victoria's Secret store, ...would you believe he wouldn't even enter the store?
He was afraid that seeing all that women's lingerie might cause him to think impure thoughts.  ::)
THAT WAS IRRITATING!!!
