PF, what did you think of the story about the intercepted missile test described in the larry king interview?  I thought that was pretty telling really.

Guys - these incidents have all be described before, most notably in a movie called Out of the Blue.   You can also Google The Disclosure Project and see testimony from hundreds of people in the military and avaition who have nothing to gain and much to lose by coming forward.    I just think it's interesting that King did (by my count) 3 shows this month about UFO and he agrees that a serious government investigation should be done.  I've noticed that other old timers like Peter Jennings and Walter Cronkite also have a serious interest in the subject.  Perhaps they were required to supress so many stories over the years that they realized there might be some truth to this subject.

another story not widely known on the boards is Daniel Sheehan, Chief counsel for civil litigation in the Iran-Contra affair and Chief counsel in the Karen Silkwood case.  He tells an amazing story where he was asigned by a researcher asigned by Congress to find out what the Vatican had on UFOs as Sheehan was counsel for the Jesuit Priests here in America.  He was turned down flat by the Vatican so they turned to the DOD and went after records from Bluebook.  They expected to be turned down again but to their surpise Sheehan was allowed access for the investigation initiated by Congress.  No recordings or notepads allowed, he could go in, look all he wanted and leave, that's it.  The story he tells of the documents are "out of this world"

The Vatican supposedly has an intense interest in the ufo phenomena.  Maybe they know something that the rest of us don't know about

I know that this guy gained access to all the classified material from bluebook.  He describes going through photos of a military recovery of a downed craft and by the description, it sounded pretty out of this world.  What I also found interesting was the Vatican didn't say sorry we don't have any such material, they denied access to the material.
