bulding muscle with 2000 cals per day

is muscle growht possible in a caloric deficit as long as protein is kept high?

this is with AAS so the protein will be used effectively.

I always read that building muscle requires a caloric surplus but I dont see why that is needed as long as the proper hormones are being used and enough protein is in the blood to synthesize new muscle tissue.

An excess of calories is needed for weight gain.

Dead wrong!! If you're looking to gain significant size, you will need to increase your calories and protein, WHETHER YOU USE STEROIDS OR NOT!!

Steroids don't make muscle out of thin air. Zero times anything is still ZERO.

Hmmm I was just going to ask this before the site went down.   Chris aceto had troy alves on 2000 calories a day to get him shredded he stated some pros can eat 3x that.      Now of course the drug regimen is what spared the muscle tissue.   So i would say that maybe on an extreme cutting diet you wont gain tissue but it can be spared with the right drug protocol.
