i think anything can happen in mma, i do believe that in a year or 2 brock will be able to give fedor a competetive fight. fedor always had trouble with elite wrestlers, coleman had good control of fedor in there first fight and even had fedors back for a minute. its ashame coleman never progressed from his 90,s fighting form cause if he would have he might of gave fedor a much better fight. imo brock is alot better wrestler then coleman is at this point in time, only because of his youth and weight advantage. the coleman of 92 was a different animal though, coleman in 92 was on the olympic wrestling team and would have out wrestled brock. dont get me wrong, brock was a awesome wrestler in college, finishing with something like 103 wins with only 4 losses or something close to that, i cant remember exactly.
brock was a 2 time all american, as well as a 2 time big ten conference champ so he was no joke, imo i think fedor has more trouble with big, strong wrestlers/grapplers in general then he does strikers. fedors record speaks for itself and the bottom line is he gets the job done, he is a great champion and i really dont think fedor is the kind of guy to duck anyone or any orginization, i think its more of a thing where the ufc/dana wants to control fighters lives once they sign with the ufc.
i really cant blame fedor for not signing if dana wont meet him halfway on the terms, fedor loves competing in his sambo and dana wont go for him competing in anything but the ufc if dana had him under contract from what i heard. ill guarantee you this and i know its been said before, if fedor ever signs with the ufc dana would be telling the world fedor is the 8th wonder of the world and the best mma fighter to ever compete instead of bashing him the way he does now, like his recent comments saying fedors sitting at a buffet in russia while the ufc guys are fighting consistantly. thats not exactly the way to work out a contract dispute imo by making remarks like that.
on the real tip fedor just might be the best mma fighter to ever come down the pike imo, only time will tell and i think in the next year or so fedor and dana will have to come to terms both parties are happy with. for fedor to keep his #1 spot hes gonna have no choice, us mma fans are patient and fair to a point, but just like the tito (chuck duck) stunt that tito pulled avoiding fighting chuck, even alot of tito,s own fans including myself were very dissapointed in ortiz and he fell off my favorite fighter list cause of that.
i would of had no problem if tito fought chuck and lost, i wouldnt of liked it but losing happens in this sport, but once he started duckin chuck it really pissed me off as a fan of his and a mma fan in general. fans will eventually turn on you and thats not good for a fighters career imo, mma fans can make you or break you imo. thanks for reading
