Marriage annulled after wife THINKS about other men

Marriage annulled after wife thinks about other men

We've heard of emotional affairs, but how about intended affairs? Or, at the very least, thoughts of maybe, possibly intending to have an affair - complete with the specific man in mind?

An Italian woman was having oh-so-naughty thoughts about a man who wasn't her husband, yet her husband was the man she shared her no-so-secret fantasies with. She didn't act on her desire, but simply speaking her thoughts resulted in her ending up out on her keister with nary an ounce of alimony to her mentally cheating name.

Basically, the court determined her thoughts a violation of the law of marriage and rendered her unity kaput and denied her any compensation.

Her affair - of the mind - did her in. Apparently, those kinds of things are terribly taboo in Italy.

Seems pretty strange to be actual grounds for annullment, but I can't say as I blame the man for wanting out of the marriage.

Wow, I feel sad for that guy, ...and think the girl got the best part... the annullment.

I couldn't possibly imagine being in a marriage where you couldn't share your inner most thoughts or secret fantasies with your partner. And what grownup in this day & age doesn't think their partner would either meet, see, or encounter someone they would consider attractive? My goodness. I think that guy has alot of insecurities and alot of growing up to do.

the article makes it seem like they werent just thoughts that ran through her head but actual desires and fantasies. There is a difference there, simply meeting someone and thinking they are attractive is one thing going home and telling your husband that you desire and fantasize about him doing you is another...

If that guy wasn't "into" hearing that stuff his wife shouldn't been saying it imo...I guess I'm assuming it was an ongoing thing though and not some thing where she was testing the waters to see if he liked it or didn't mind it.

You can turn it around as if it were the man saying those things to the wife if she didn't want to hear it....very disrespectful and probably hurtful..and depending on the frequency/intensity it could be even be considered a type of mental abuse.

My other half knows I have a muscle fetish.  Once in a while he will say, "I saw a guy for you at the gym today...he was huge..." I am always thinking about other men; flirting too (but never in his presence as I would consider that disrespectful).  He is free to do likewise.

I do not believe any man who says he does not think about other women/men. :-X

Yes, I was reading a book that had that a full chapter on that...even if a man tries to fight it, he can't help himself!

Like I said... I couldn't possibly imagine being in a marriage where you couldn't share your inner most thoughts or secret fantasies with your partner.
