my cousin just did a study on how bugs survive in the extreme heat and extreme cold on Mars. She has done multiple studies for NASA, was chosen the only student in the world to study with some professor in Paris, and is an astrobiologist with an interest in the microbiology and molecular biology of extremophiles exposed to the types of environmental conditions found on planetary bodies such as Mars and the icy moons of Jupiter and Saturn. (obviously I googled that)

PhD thesis investigated genomic/proteomic stress response, molecular adaptations, and DNA repair abilities of the halophilic (salt-loving) archaeaon Halobacteriumsp str. NRC-1 enabling survival after exposure to high levels of ionizing radiation. Her work at the Carnegie Institution of Washington is funded through grants from NASA (ASTEP) and the Keck Foundation.
whatever the hell that all means   ??? ???

well at least that explains who hogged the brains and left me out to dry in the family

she's a carpet muncher.
