« on: November 07, 2009, 11:18:29 PM »

i don't know whats making me feel this way. i have made very good money since i was 17 years old, iv seen the world, i have done almost everything that people dream of, i dont need to work but i feel a overwhelming need to and i still feel like i am doing life all wrong.

You want to do what Mozart did...Not necessarily write music...but Mozart passed on at thirty six leaving behind a bigger portfolio of compositions than the mind can comfortably imagine.  Ansell Adams left behind a portfolio of Large format photographs...Henry Ford left behind Ford Motor company.  While you have admittedly had a wonderful time with firearms, weight training, fast cars, and so forth,...you want to "write a symphony." (not literally)  You want to use the freedom your economic privilege gives you to learn to do something "meaningful."

Thomas Beecham was born the son of a pharmaceutical magnate in Britain,...He used his freedom to learn how to be a great symphony conductor.  Walt Disney was the privileged son of an Illinois insurance man,...He learned how to be a successful cartoon producer.  He is quoted as saying "I don't make films to make money...I make money so I can make film."  Howard Hughes used his fortune from Hughes Tools to become a film producer, airplane manufacturer, aerospace pioneer.
I suspect you are developing a similar longing.

There comes a point in every person's life when they come to a realization that it's not what they acquire in life, ...but the legacy they leave behind. It's an overwhelming desire to make an impact and to make a difference.

I was talking about something else other than a mid-life crisis, ...but those are pretty entertaining too.
I wonder what kind of penis extender flashy sports car he's going to buy?   ;)

Actually a mid life crisis is just that ....... a man taking stock of his life, what he has achieved, what he has missed out on and its impact.
It is not always about buying a Harley and getting a tat.

1. When you are feeling this way, do you ever wonder about God?

2. Are you sync pulse friends?  Just seems whether his post is spot on or not, his analogy was very apt!

i am 25 years old!!

and i have already had enough sports cars, race cars, motorcycles, and race bikes to keep me happy.

i am currently building a new street/strip car, and still have 4 sportbikes.

so i dont think buying a sports car will help me at this point.

Serious questions:

Have you ever gone on a mission trip to a third world country to take food, medicine, clothing, hope to the poor in that country?

Have you ever volunteered to help those less fortune in your community?

Have you ever sponsored a child in a third world country?

Have you ever given the Lord Jesus Christ a try?  It worked for these people:

Gary Busey, Stephen Baldwin, Alice Cooper, Lee Strobel, Josh McDowell, J. R. R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Sir Ronald Fisher, Arthur Peacocke, Russell Stannard, John Polkinghorne, Francis Collins, and I.

Nope and won't.  That is there problem for not figuring out wha the rest of the world already has.

Have you ever volunteered to help those less fortune in your community?
Volunteered at a food shelter.  Meals on wheels for old and deadly ill.

Have you ever sponsored a child in a third world country?
Nope, sally struthers spends the money on cupckaes and country ham.

Have you ever given the Lord Jesus Christ a try?  It worked for these people:
I wish i could bold rolly eyes lol.
Gary Busey( have you seen him lately? he is wacked out of his goard!), Stephen Baldwin (not a good movie in ten years and sounds retarded), Alice Cooper, Lee Strobel, Josh McDowell, J. R. R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Sir Ronald Fisher, Arthur Peacocke, Russell Stannard, John Polkinghorne, Francis Collins, and I.

don't know enough of everyone else to pass sufficient judgement on...yet, lol

Serious questions:

Have you ever gone on a mission trip to a third world country to take food, medicine, clothing, hope to the poor in that country?
No, to sound harsh and possibly arrogant, I have enough issues dealing with my own daily trifles.

Have you ever volunteered to help those less fortune in your community?
Nope again. I'll help someone out, but only if I see they really need it. IMO, a homeless man begging for change does NOT qualify.

Have you ever sponsored a child in a third world country?
No again, I still think Sally Struthers (sp?) was scamming somehow! :P

Have you ever given the Lord Jesus Christ a try?  It worked for these people:
FUCK NO! I'm not holding this against anyone, but I also feel that if you're not practicing and recognizing Jesus in your life, there is no reason to try. Prisoners and such, many of the people that convert do so at times of turmoil and struggle.
Crap, I just broke one of my 4 rules....:o :o :o

anybody ever feel like they are living the wrong life?
Never. I attempt to adapt to my life, rather than make my life adapt to me. I think that's being human in it's simplest form.

i not saying "do you wish you were a millionaire" or any shit like that, but do you ever just stop dead in your tracks and realize "i fucked up, i am living my life all wrong"?
I've never thought I was living "wrong," but I thought there were times I maybe should have zig'd when I zag'd.
