I've seen competitors at shows who have done this (with someone else's advice) and they didn't look good.  They could've been in the running, but looked  " flat "

thats because there is zero benefit to eating high fat for bodybuilding.

this is actually false princess. different tpes of fat does indeed effect insulin in different ways - at least when mixed with protein and carbs

Yes, that is correct!  My wording made no sense.  I knew what I meant.  Blame it on the Christmas wine! ;D

A while back on here you were touting the benefits of "The Anabolic Diet."
Or am I missing the context of your above post?

the anabolic diet, or any cyclical keto diet incorporating high amounts of cholestrol will be a good diet for alot of bodybuilders who are nto using any drugs, because it will help them maintain good hormonal levels throughout the day, and week. the carb ups and refeeds are vital though, to help keep recovery ability, strength, and stamina up.

now, one could maintain good hormonal levels naturally in other ways. while the anabolic diet is a good diet, its not the only good diet. once baselines essential fat needs are met, its more beneficial to fill up the remaining calories in yoru diet with glucose, rather than put in any more fat.

all this assuming sufficient protein intake.

i have a question on the carb up

my diet is high protein, high good fat, and low carb...around 90-100g carbs on workout days
i am doing weights 4 days week very intense, and cardio 4 days a week...my mood, energy, pumps, and strength are great each day, each workout...but when it comes time for my carb up day there are times where i have nooo desire to eat carbs...sometimes 2 weeks will go by with the same diet w no carb up, then ill have a cheat meal of maybe a pizza or a plate of penne vodka. why dont i ever crave carbs??

for the natural it looks awesome for cutting, but is it good to gain mass? i read alot of guys whining about not getting enough calories because its very filling but i dont see whats hard in drinking extra microwaved butter, fish oil and protein shake... now if you can eat that 6k calories on the anabolic diet would somebody natural get greater results from this or from a high carbs low fats one?

and guys explain more why this diet is no good for juiced guys

man this is way too much carbs if you want to get keto.
you have to eat 25-30g carbs MAX if you wanna be in ketosis, this is why you have no desire to carb up, because you already eat alot of carbs, you muscle already full of glycogen and your body is functioning on carbs already

GB Member "Wes" recently posted about how he "carb cycles" and it really makes sense..search for it. He is a competitor and knows his shite. I'm trying it out now. I HATE low / no carbs diets..I always feel like shit and my brain stops working normally ie - very "spacey"...I ran red lights, put the tv remote in the fridge, lost keys..dumb shit like that. I feel WAY better since I started cycling.
