Shawn Ray's view on bodybuilding nutrition
« on: January 09, 2010, 12:41:52 PM »
From a recent MD audio podcast.

"I don't know how many calories I ate. I never counted a gram of protein in my life. The scale was not something I measured my progress by, I looked in the mirror. My training was very instinctive and so was my diet.

I remember watching kevin levrone do an onstage interview once and when asked about protein he said he took in 300 milligrams per day.

he was so used to discussing doses he kept saying milligrams instead of grams.

I doubt shawn ray was much an abuser amongst the ifbb ranks, great genetics, training and diet plus a good response to drugs would have been sufficient to get him where he was.
