Ok i must admit.. I dont read anything outside of school work and MD...lol...im joking...
But in a nutshell, can people tell me what the bad parts of the bill are and then site them so i can reference them myself. I wanna see where it says the insurance companies will fail and we pay for Paco and Juans medical bills. I did see that The CBO said this will reduce the deficit.
1. They demos did not include the "Doc Fix" in this bill presented before the CBO. The CBO said that when the Doc Fix is included this mess goes deeply into the red and adds 300 Billion to the deficit. I posted a thread on it. If they dont pass the doc fix, docs are getting a 21% pay decrease. Sp pick your poison on that.
2. Bill Frist said there are unelected rationing boards under this bill this morning on CNBC. I will find that for you.
3. There is no way to add 30 million new patients to a system, without a porporationate increase in docs, without either rationing or severe delays. Care delayed is care denied.
4. The insurance companies will last a few years at best under the new system since you cant mandate that all carriers take all people wherever, no limits, no caps, without a collapse, the math simply does not work.
5. Many insurance carriers tie their reimbursements to medicare payments and rates. Once the medicare rates drop for docs, the carriers are going to pay you less.
Bro - I really dont know why any doc or someone in medical school would be anything but livid over this.
