HOOKSETT –
A woman in her 30s was attacked by a man wearing only thong underwear and a facemask outside her home early yesterday morning, police said.
Detectives are releasing few details, but say the attack is considered an attempted sexual assault and appears to be random.
The incident occurred about 2 a.m. outside the woman's home on Monroe Drive in South Hooksett. She was able to fight off the attacker and call 911, police said.
A State Police dog was called in and tracked the attacker's scent to Harvest Drive, but lost it there. The attacker remains on the loose.
He is only described as a white male between 5-foot-9 and 6 feet tall with a muscular upper-body."Any resident of Hooksett that sees any suspicious activity (is) urged to contact the Hooksett Police Department and not investigate the matter themselves," a statement from Hooksett police read.
Anyone with information can contact Hooksett police at 624-1560.
