old halen rocks. I havent seen any new bootleg live  footage come out of the vaults in a while though. I'd love to see a full version of the oakland show.

Definitely, that or the Fresno show. There are only 3 tracks from the Oakland show that you can watch...and not surprisingly all of them kick ass.

Not even Obama's rampant communism can old DLR era Halen down.

I've been rocking my suicidal tendencies albums lately.  Awesome thrash metal.

Going to big four at yankee stadium on september 14th.  Psyched.

Yeah, Unchained, (the flying splits at the beginning off of the drum riser is the best fucking intro to any song ever), So This is Love and Hear About It Later.

Sadly, I never saw them live with Roth and I didnt want to ruin all the good times I had listening to their stuff growing up by seeing them at their last tour. Ed's a mess, Roth lost his voice and obviously can't do what he did 20 something years ago. I would have been dissapointed.

The first jump is awesome, no doubt, but take a look at this one from a Montreal show in 1984...look at how high he gets and then check the crowd eruption when the lights go on and he leaps. DLR knew how to do it.
