If NPR is trying demonstrate in the wake of the video scandal that it embraces a diversity of viewpoints and is not the left-wing outlet it has been portrayed to be, its first move after the resignation of president and CEO Vivian Schiller isn’t a particularly good start.

After Schiller announced her resignation on Wednesday, the NPR Board of Directors promptly named Joyce Slocum as NPR’s interim CEO. According to a statement from NPR, Slocum’s appointment was part of a CEO succession plan adopted by the Board in 2009. Slocum, however, appears to be just another Democrat.

According to data from the Center for Responsive Politics website OpenSecrets.org, Slocum has donated $3,480 dating back to 1999 – all to Democratic candidates:

President Obama to increase funding for NPR

FOXNation reports that the White House wants to increase funding for NPR by 31 million dollars. The Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which supports NPR, was appropriated $420 million for fiscal year 2010. Obama wants to increase CPB’s funding to $451 million in his latest budget.

The White House press secretary Jay Carney defended the increase in NPR funding as a “worthwhile” and “important priority” for President Obama......

Shaughn Adeleye, one of the men who acted as a representative of the fake Muslim Brotherhood front organization that spawned the National Public Radio (NPR) sting videos conservative James O’Keefe released Tuesday morning, told The Daily Caller “it’s unfortunate that they [Ron Schiller and Vivian Schiller] had to lose their jobs over expressing what they believe.”

“But, everything they have been saying is contrary to what they should have been saying and what they say that they are,” Adeleye said in a phone interview. “I do not feel bad for them that they got fired – well, they say they resigned. And, he lost his job at the Aspen Institute. He’s pretty much in the unemployment line, both of them, him and Vivian. You know what? Now they’re going to know what it feels like to be common, every day citizens who have lost their jobs or just struggling every day to pay bills and make a life for themselves.”

Adeleye also told TheDC that the public might be missing the point of this investigation: “What would have happened if we were actually a Muslim group and we actually had everything laid out and we got to the point where we could show them the proof?” What would have happened is anyone’s guess, but Adeleye is almost certain NPR would have taken the money and said he expects NPR would adjust its news coverage in doing so – possibly drastically.

Today former NPR CEO Vivian Schiller admitted that the liberal establishment is terrified of being exposed for their blatant corruption and far left bias.

Fired and failed lib NPR CEO Vivian Schiller spoke Tuesday at the Paley Center for Media in New York and lashed out at the videographers who exposed the bigotry in her organization, calling the undercover sting an “abomination.” She admitted the rest of the establishment is “terrified” of being the next NPR, Planned Parenthood or ACORN…and speculated that the goal of these stings is to instill fear. “It’s terrifying,” Schiller said, that’s their “objective......
