Report: Santorum finished 34 votes ahead of Romney in new Iowa tally; votes from 8 precincts missing

 

Instead of winning by eight votes, Romney ended up trailing former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum by 34 votes, the newspaper said. But that tally is far from conclusive, because results from eight Iowa precincts are missing “and will never be recovered and certified,” the Register reported.

I worked precinct polling last time - I had to stay at the 2010 until they closed at like 9 pm, after stopping taking votes at 7 pm.

those old people ran that place like a military zone - no way ballots there could have gotten lost.  And that was with a few of us waiting at the door for them to count and post the results on the door so that we could run back to our polling agencies, media, whatever.

and that was just poor broke florida... i can imagine iowa, being #1 in the nation, KNOWS the importance of things.  Smells shady to me!

yea, pretty convienient of them to lose 8 precincts.  It's not like they didn't know they needed to be saved for certification.  And lol, since those numbers are called in, the precints in question should still have the results.  What a load of garbage.  That state should have their delegates removed and forced to pay the candidates back for the money they wasted there.  After all the crap I've read that went on, you would have to be absolutely delusional to trust the outcome.
