I have some hyper liberal cousins (public school teachers) that rattle on about paying reparations to descendants of black slaves.  I always ask them if they ever owned any slaves, know any former slaves or if they think thier Irish ancestors owned slaves.

Exactly.  To add to that, if they were never brought over here, than the Jesse Jacksons and such would have never even been born.  Their lineage would have been stuck Moombassaing and Babbooning around trees in African villages hoping that the racist lion and tigers weren`t eating them out of their grass huts.

Also, most slaves had it made on the plantation and states where slavery was not practiced was pure hell for the black man as they were relegated to doing absolutely nothing and beaten to death as society during the 1800s saw no worth in them.
