well, both of you have it right in a way.
Depending on population samples, and where they were taken.
Egyptians are African.
And I have met Egyptians as dark as Wiggs, with "African" hair. Remember lower Egypt had Nubians.
And also remember during the Ptolemic era of Egypt it was under Roman rule, so that would also add to the admixture. Cleopatra didn't look like Elizabeth Taylor, nor did she look like Iman, either.

The Egyptians of Early Egypt and the Egypt of Ramses, would be slightly different than the Egypt of today.
Remember that there is a movement to surpress any notion that the Sphnyx is older than what it is---whic would indicate a presence of a civilization in Egypt before the Egyptians.

My point is that the black people you see in the hieroglyphs are Nubian (Sudan) and Cushites (ethiopians) and pics only compromise 15% of the Hieroglyphs. Some people claim black people in Hieroglyphs as Egyptians and that is a stupid assumption considering 30% of the population was black Africans and not Egyptians, is there a mixture of black in Egyptians?
