Decent documentaries on YouTube?
« on: September 05, 2013, 07:51:11 AM »
As mentioned elsewhere, I have a lot of downtime at work and am always looking for decent full doc's on YouTube. Any help?

Just watched  "just, Melvin" it was the feel-bad movie of the day. About a pedo who single handedly destroyed 2 families for generations. Not particularly well done, but interesting

There are sites such a watchdocumentary dot com and documentaryheaven and probably tons more.

Just watched a docu recently, about some individuals with a disorder that causes them to be unable to control their eating. The disorder causes some other issues, including behavior problems, which makes for a really amusing watch.

It focused on a several individuals living in various group-homes due to the disorder, and the struggles they faced. If they're left to themselves, they will end up spending all their time in jail due to chronic theft (of food, of course). They are also known to burn through relationships, and it focuses on the hilarity that stems from these quasi-romantic hookups they have with one another.

Try the Vice youtube channel since it covers a lot of current topics. You might start with Egypt after Morsi.

Tread with caution when it comes to the Vice productions. Lots of embellishments, etc., that should make a person curious as to the intent of the piece. Myself, I wouldn't consider Vice productions to be in the legitimate spirit of documentaries.
