Every team decided against drafting Hernandez...Probably because of a known drug dealer playing his father figure...Yet the Patriots had no problem drafting him. They knew exactly the type of guy Aaron Hernandez was and what he was capable of...

So I wouldn't put too much stock in the article... a pity piece from the family to paint hernandez as the victim,blames drugs, saying the murder case is very thin, etc.

i think a lot of NFL teams are cool with a first round talent coming in the 4th round and playing great.

they aren't there to make the world a better place - they are there to win games.  And in a game as violent as football, you need very hard working smart people at QB, and you need very violent, aggressive people at the skill positions running around. 

i'll take a hernandez over a tebow at tight end any day.  Yes, tebow is happy and a great role model, but hernandez has fast feet and will knock a cornerback on his ass and score a TD.

Yes but Hernandez would have been a 1st round pick...Possibly top 10 pick if it wasn't for his back round. No one was going to touch him expect the Patriots.
