coworker...oh, brother
« on: October 07, 2013, 06:06:06 PM »
So it's a regular morning at the office...one lady in the next row was trying to convince some caller that the company is not trying to play games with interest rates, etc.  At one point she actually said, "Ma'am, I am a child of the one true king, and I am not lying!"

oh, brother  ::)

My secretary's ringtone says "child of the one true king". I think its a song. The lady in your office shouldn't be saying that.

I wouldn't mind if she were just proclaiming faith...but to use that as rebuttal to someone else's statement in a business situation is inappropriate and cheapens legitimate expressions of belief.

Someone, perhaps their supervisor should counsel this person on what is appropriate and what isn't in the business world.

She's old enough to know better...plus she would just try to make herself out to be some sort of "martyr"

I prefer coworker threads about fat women stuffing their faces with cake, asking why you eat chicken and brokkli for lunch and saying they don't lift cuz they don't want to get too muscular.

She probably behaves that way, except for instead of being morbidly obese, she looks strung out on meth.

I had a coworker once that was a combo of the one mention above (born again Christian) and a fat nosey person too boot. She was the head cook at the school I worked at. Interestingly enough, once she retired, she started eating right and exercising. Today she is very slim. She and her now retired husband have become world travelers which one would hope might give her some insight outside her narrow religious views. Perhaps it has because she seems like a totally different person. And they say people don't change.
