Maybe one of his better videos.  He didn't say logically 5x in 2 minutes and actually got me to think about day trading. Yeah, I'll pass.  As mentioned, in an up market during the blue chip boom making money was a bit easier than today.
He was correct with people being comfortable in every day life and not striving for more.  Some simply do not care though.  Most just want to be left alone. The fewer people who bother you for something in a given day, the better.  The thought of not progressing at something though would be rough.  You literally just exist.  Going from one reality show to the next.
There should be a medium.  The chronic self improvement as stated in Fight Club is simply masturbation.
