Johnny Fuller - Underrated
« on: September 28, 2016, 02:16:51 AM »
This man is never talked about. Underrated bodybuilder and pretty damn massive for his era (along with Bertil Fox). Dude was only 5'6" and change (same height as Tom Platz and Samir Bannout), but was solid as fuck and looked great PRE-pec tear which I believe happened in 1982/1983 and he continued to compete until 1987. He used to do 60 sets for quads and 70 sets for pecs. Intense (psychotic was his nickname) mother fucker. RIP big man.

Where is he now?

He turned politician and wanted to be president of Dominican Republic.

Failing of course.

WRONG. He was 5'6". I have the Muscle and Fitness magazine where he states he's 5'6.5". Tom Platz also was under 5'7" (claiming 5'6 3/4") AND taller than Johnny Fuller. Samir was MAX 5'6". I guess you also believe WWE wrestlers heights also, right? Just like Kevin Levrone is 5'11"... ::) ::)

Pics don't lie.

Black guys never got a fair shake in the old days of bodybuilding. Robby, Rick Wayne, Nubret, Fuller all kept hidden in favor of Joe's fantasy men. Seriously, Robby's conditioning and shape absolutely shits all over anything Franco ever displayed but well, you know. #Blackbodybuildersmatter

I think Danny Padilla would argue that one, Padilla had a perfect score in a contest and after multiple posedowns they gave it to Robby who had less points.

I have it on good authority that Danny once refused a certain publisher's advances. That sealed his fate.

Dark feller would do upwards of 100 sets per muscle group. Overkill to the max.

But like the other champion of overtraining, Arnold, bucketloads of pills allowed him to retain some muscles.
