2018 Olympia - Phil Heath - Respect to Phil for losing gracefully
« on: September 16, 2018, 07:57:08 AM »
Phil didn't have a meltdown like Ronnie did in 2006, where Lee Haney had to tell him to come back.
Phil congratulated Shawn sincerely

And Phil did not make an immature post olympia video (as he did in 2017).
In fact his concession video was one of the few times he exhibited the characteristics of a true champion

Even with the injuries, Ronnie was still better than Cutler.

Phil knew it was the end at pre-judging.

He had a slight meltdown when he took off his medal as he was walking off stage.

Agreed! He handled it much better than I thought he would. He posted a gracious video on instagram too where he made no excuses and properly congratulated the new champ. Nice to see him as a class act.

The video he posted was much better than what I expected...so I agree.  Good for him.  I hope he gets some clarity and starts to re-evaluate his team.

He's probably having epic meltdowns behind closed doors, saying how much Rhoden sucks.

Of course, I guess that does not matter, as long as he puts on a "good" face to the crowd. But, we all know in the privacy of his own home, he is LOSING it!!

I have no doubt he checked online to see what people where saying and when no one had his back and people were critical of his behavior he took our advice and acted like a professional.

No respect for that piece of shit
And he didn’t lose respectfully
All the crap he talked leading up to the show and at the press conference
And how about his behavior after last years win?
Used his ex wife’s cancer to try and further his career-then he abandoned her and his stepson
He’s a whiny arrogant spoiled brat
His body looks like shit
He’s nothing but dumb cartoon arms

He’s gone where the goblins go!

No he wasn't - Also he could of been beaten by jay previously
Also by levrone IIRC
Though Ronnie was much better than Phil in my opinion.

Yes, he did. When Jay won, he won without a back. And because of this, it brought on the era of mediocrity. They didn’t want Ronnie to be 9X Mr O. He was still so far ahead of everyone, that his injuries didn’t matter.

Ronnie in 07 wasn’t top 5 anymore. 06 he would’ve won but a damaged lat and tricep + XXL stomach compared to his smaller and sharper package the year before lost him the show. Yeah, jay lacked his cuts and veins, but no one else was better than Jay to take 1st that year other than Coleman.

Can you imagine what his reaction would be if someone walked up to him and said "heyyy!  didn't you used to be Mr. Olympia?"

put up them Ronnie vs Jay pics from 2006. 2007 was either Wolf or Vic Martinez. Jay ushered in the era of mediocrity, due to his lack of a great back. All previous Mr. Os has great backs before Jay.

Frank zane / Larry scott / now Shawn rhoden don't have great backs.

Also it was the judges that placed Jay 1st not jay himself why blame Jay
he was just competing Blame those who placed him.
