Story 1 - Home on fire after 1 in the morning.....3 different city fire departments responding with crews and were on the scene. This news was reported to the station by one of their own photographers that lived nearby. Story does not contain any pictures
Story 2 - Background....week of Smollet story 2 snow storms 4-6" each, week after 2 more snow storms 4-6" + 4 days below 0, week smollett is arrested 3 snow days between 2-6" +5 days below 0. This weekend 6-8" snow/ice storms for 2 days below 0 + 40 mph winds fri and sat. Damn global warming!
The area I'm in contains 2 small cities side by side, one is older and has a "different" demographic when it comes to listening to authorities.
Story was about police chief getting complaints about all of the tickets, and towings of cars that were not moved for plows during declared "snow emergencies". Chief said they tried to be nice, and gave warnings during the first 2 emergencies. If they didn't understand we were serious, they do now. Our city now has a ZERO tolerance policy going forward for those too lazy to move their cars when there is a snow emergency. $150 each lazy fuck can kiss goodbye!
