The SJW's are bitching about the new Mandalorian show because, and even though it's only 3 episodes in, there has been barely any representation of women. Not enough that they have the big theatrical movies or the fact that the series just started, the last episode was actually directed by a woman, and Gina Carrano is going to be a major character on the show.

I'm a huge Star Wars fan but the more commercials I see of this latest movie, the more I don't want to see it. I cannot stand the bitch they chose to play the lead role and with the blacks, mexicans and asians in the lead roles I'm not sure i can stomach it for 2 hours.  Most likely will be the first Star Wars movie that I won't ever see.

I've been watching Youtube videos about the story leaks and screenings, it's looking like a complete train wreck, could even be a lot worse than The Last Jedi.

I love the character, but in addition to what you said, Yoda actually WAS a rock when Luke met him.  He snuck up on Luke, started rummaging through his supplies like a sugar-addled kid, whacked the droid with his cane, again childishly bleating, "Mine!  Mine!  Mine!"  Yep.  A dickhead.

Obviously, Lucas and Kirshner were trying to surprise us with the revelation that this tiny little hermit, apparently half-crazed from his isolation, was Grand Master Jedi Yoda.  TESB is chock full of surprises...you could even say that was its theme.  Attempted Imperial sneak attack, I am your father, This is no cave, Lando's betrayal and counter, etc.  There's a lot of Biblical stuff in there as well...belly of the whale, going to a kind of Heaven when the Falcon reaches a city in the clouds (just listen to the music as the Falcon reaches Bespin; the chorus is meant to sound angelic), Luke wandering in the wilderness of both show and swamp, then facing temptation by Satan...it is a very clever film.  It is a shame the sequel movies didn't have that kind of thought out into them.

Great analysis. The biblical stuff never even struck me but it's blazingly obvious now you point it out lol. Nice to know someone out there also regards ESB as a good film, as opposed to the others.

The modern ones haven't grabbed me. Shit, I fell asleep on my girl's couch a week ago during Force Awakens, first time seeing it. Even the third, Rise Of The Teddy Bears And Another Death Star Again, was crap. Everyone was on the money train so they weren't about to wrap it up after two but I kinda wish they had.
