He was great in Beverly Hills Ninja.

I haven't watched that!  I should check it out.  RIP Chris Farley.  :(

I liked him in Road Trip.

"That's it?  This story sucks!"  ;D

He was just on Mark Bell's podcast.  Good stuff.  :)

I can't believe he was over 536-lb at his heaviest!  Wow.  I hope he is able to reverse any potential damage he caused his body by doing that.  I feared for his health before, but less so now - but hopefully he is able to reverse some or most [or all?] of the damage to his blood vessels, organs, and body as a result of his new healthy lifestyle.

LOL.  Luckily, he has already outlived John Candy.

John Candy lived to the age of 43 years 4 months 1 day.

Ethan Suplee is currently 43 years, 8 months, 23 days.

So Ethan has currently outlived John Candy by 4 months and 22 days.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Candy

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ethan_Suplee

That's actually good to know.  Given that Ethan hit the scales at 536-lb at his heaviest - and maxed out the scale!!!

In 2011, he was looking very thin in a TMZ interview where the person interviewing him kept asking him annoying questions...so he has been down in weight for a while [but also bigger again for some roles].  I hope he has reversed the damage caused by his former weight.  Is it a given that guys that size have sleep apnea?

Ethan was also a drug addict around [or until] 2002.  Apparently he has been clean since around then.  He stated [I believe in his podcast at the link posted above with that Kevin actor - the one from the movie The Notebook] that he was using drugs that could actually kill him.  So it sounds like he was potentially shooting up heroin.  They were both talking about extremely painful withdrawals, so sounds like an opiate addiction [possibly intravenous, since he cited the risk of death].

Imagine being that massively overweight AND having a drug addiction.  :o

I hope he is healthier now, and was able to reverse some of the damage he caused, if he caused any.  I would have to assume bodily/systemic damage would be inevitable for anyone who was previously 6'2" and over 536-lb, with an opiate addiction...

He was a helluva football player in Remember the Titans

Imagine if they'd of had Billy Bob blocking right next to him,

Man, they'd of been unstoppable

He's throwing off some serious try hard bullshit. His Insta is full of " motivational" rubbish.

That's really hard to keep that weight off.

He needs that motivating stuff to do it.  I can understand it.

I hope he stays with it.

He actually looks like a football player now.  He's 6'2" and 265-lb.  Isn't that the weight of linebacker, with lineman being a little bigger [sorry, I don't watch football, so I don't have a good memory for the various positions]?  He says his goal is to hit a double body weight deadlift - so 530-lb, and that he's getting close.  It's interesting to think that for as big as he is, he is only deadlifting around what I was deadlifting at my strongest [but I was ~100-lb lighter].

He also wants to get abs though, so good for him for seeking to improve.  Even if both of those goals seem somewhat superficial [he described it that way himself in his podcast], if it keeps him in the gym, all good, right?

Incidentally, I don't Remember The Titans.  That's a serious White Guilt movie, right?  Count me out then.

Here is the link to his podcast, if anyone is interested:

He's not very strong, 530 at his size should be easy.....

I was squatting 500 pounds for 5 reps and was 20 pounds lighter than him.

I see pics on line of the loose skin on his legs. It had to be bad in his upper body too.

Did he have surgery?  There was once a guy on here who lost a ton of weight, body tightening surgery and then got on stage. He looked great.
