Did you know that the 2008 stimulus package...

... was considered profitable for the country?

I don't mean in the sense that they stabilized the country, but that the actual deals have generated $300bn+ in profit on top of the paybacks.
 
I'm sure some already knew this, but I was surprised to read this earlier today.

I'm sure some already knew this, but I was surprised to read this earlier today.

It was an $850bil disaster where only 15% of that went to where it was supposed to. Remember those “shovel ready jobs?” Never happened
