Murders and shootings have gone up a decent amount compared to pre-Covid.

Robbery seems to be creeping up a little too.

While the numbers aren't exploding on paper as much as other cities, the feeling in NYC is just one of bleakness. You can see a lot of the old things from 70's, 80's, early 90's NYC creeping back in - junkies, street homeless/crazies, hookers, etc..... There also isn't any real push back from those up on high to restore things.

NYC has a 98% turn down rate on CCW so law abiding citizens can’t protect themselves or won’t because of it)
Cops have stand down orders attacked by a weapon
