Now the DMV is telling Google, Apple, Tesla, and Microsoft how to innovate and get things done.    :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ ::) ::) :-X :-X

At least I can use my Iphone to search google while I wait four hours to get my license renewed.   ::) ::) ::)

The difference between business and government is just staggering.

Cut your costs so your suppliers lose money and have to lay off staff

Amazing advice.

Removing dead weight should always be the first option for a well run business.

Yeah, and let’s pretend the over 20 trillion printed by Central Banks around the world isn’t the cause.

I only took accounting 1 and 2, and even I understand salaries/wages are part of a companies costs.  How is this guy so fucking dumb?  Oh yeah, con artist that lived his whole life off the government tit and hidden shady deals, plus never filled out a tax form on his own his whole life.  My gosh our country is fucked under 3 more years of this shit.

How about he takes his own advice with the government, and they cut costs starting with him flying to delaware where he has spent 25% of his 1st term so far, no longer accepting S.S. payments or his congressional pension at least while he is making $400K/yr as Resident in Chief.  He and Jill claimed almost $2M last year while retired.  Greedy fucks.

It was a speech for economic illiterates: Cutting costs while at the same time making everything in America and not having workers replaced by machines.

And Biden said it as though pure genius was coming out of his mouth. Politics truly is the profession of second rate men and now women.

I love it when government tells business how to operate. Do any corporations have 30 trillion dollars of debt?

Someone dick punch him.

Western world offshored jobs and manufacturing because free trade opened the door to global labour/production abitrage.

You can’t come back to the US and be cheaper otherwise we’d already be there because it would be cheaper.

It was a speech for economic illiterates: Cutting costs while at the same time making everything in America and not having workers replaced by machines.

I consider myself one, and even I caught on to all the bullshit so maybe there is hope for those on the left and/or who "voted for him" ;)

As far as the worker thing, I don't know where you are, but we have "Neighborhood WalMart"'s here.  For those unfamiliar, it's just the grocery store part of a WalMart basically along with a pharmacy.  Anyway, they completely reconfigured the store.  Almost every grocery store in America regardless of company is the same fucking pattern, but whoever the genius is that plann-o-grammed this new look was like "fuck all this making sense and convenient shopping bullshit.  I'v got a better plan.  Keep everything in totally unfindable places so they stay their for hours and find  shit they never intended to buy"

Anyway, so they did that and they used to have 4-5 cashier lanes and the rest were self checkouts that were still belt fed so you could lay out shit as to how you would bag them.   Now they have 1-2 cashier lanes depending on time of day, and like 8-10 rows of self check out that have two in each row on both sides with a fuckin maybe 18" x18" thing to put shit from your cart on,  I'm like "go fuck yourself San Diego"  if I have to spend all this extra time shopping and then have to pick through my cart to scan and then fill each bag 1 at a time I'm just going to the cashier line no matter how backed up it is bcuz it's still going to be faster than me looking at my cart going "hmm...what  5 things should I do next?"  while I'm already pissed that it took me 45 minutes to find what I wanted when I used to be able to get a whole week's of food, scan it, pack, and get the fuck out in 15 minutes tops.

What really is sad though is the only thing I thought was positive about WalMart is that they hire retired, elderly, and I hate to use the word retarded, so let's just say slow people that normally couldn't find work,  There was a seemingly slow guy that worked at this location.  At first he irritated me cuz he would always ask so many questions while checking my items, but over time I would be in line and notice how this fucking dude remembered everyone and what they usually bought.  It was bonkers the memory this guy had.  He remembered my name just from the quick second he looked at my receipt when handing it to my since I always us cards so I get points, and he would remembered I was from WI so if I didn't have cheese in my cart he would joke "did you forget something?"  I didn't get it 'til I asked him, and he said you're from WI don't you need cheese to survive?  I and the lady in line just busted out laughing,  I have a thing for those lime tortilla chips, he remembered, and everytime he would say "I see you got your favorite snack again"  Even during the times he wasn't at the register and walking around the store, he would stop me and ask how I was doing even though he was dealing with a life-long disability that affected his life way more than overall than the ones that I had acquired over almost 50 yrs of living he remembered people and cared.  Guess who the first one to go was after the new install?

Corporations, and people in general no longer care or give a fuck.  Most people probably just forgot about this guy, and/or never even noticed how proud he was to be a part of WalMart, and how he went above and beyond to care about the people he was serving, but I eventually did and now I feel remorse that I wasn't as concerned about him, and just simply told him "hey, I really appreciate you, how you remember shit, and the extra stuff you do here" or just asked "How's your day going?" while trying to get out of there.

It's little things like that that make you have regrets, concern for others, and wonder where the fuck our country is heading?  I guess I'm getting old, but I truly believe that all this technology/automation is making us more divided and worse people,
