Well yeah as it allowed it to push past failure because it didn't feel any godamn pain due to a powerful ant inflammatory it was also being whipped to push it harder. No one is whipping you at the gym or are they? What kind of establishment do you frequent?
Horses aren't trained that way. It's similar to how an elite powerlifter might train for a PB attempt at a meet. They always hold a bit back in training.
