I always said he was Mr. Olympia, from the waist up. Maybe he should go to Kuwait and get the Brandon Curry makeover. Who knows? He could take the Sandow.

Not a chance with legs like his

Johnny is stronger and has a longer reach. Probably has more stamina, but hard to say.

Both are very strong. Branch seems pretty tough too, but ultimately, they are bodybuilders, not fighters.

Funny you say that, I’ve seen them both train for years and upper body chest, shoulder movements branch is stronger, branch is also stronger when comes to squats, doing more reps

Johnny is more about the low reps and just getting the weights up

I think he made a mistake training legs with Branch Warren. Branch's best bodypart is his legs. He could train them anyway he wanted and they'd grow. So he trained them the same way he trained his upper body. Ballistic all out training. I think Johnny should have realized that didn't work for his lower half and train those legs differently. He would have been top 5 in the world if he could have gotten those legs to respond...

That's why I said he's Mr. Olympia from the waist up. Curry was similar.

Curry went to Kuwait, got those legs up to par (and make his back even BIGGER), and won the O. Maybe Jackson should join the Camel Crew.

Fast reps but all strict.

In another thread recently about 'what would you do differently if you were starting again' I commented that I wish I'd tried the partial, 'pumping' style reps.  I was always a form Nazi, so if I couldn't pull or push the thing properly I judged myself as failing

But with the internet and seeing how many of the bigger guys use that style I wish at some point I'd been less strict with myself.  I mean, I suppose I could try that style now for a while, but I mean way back when I was doing cycles... I might have blown up more - or not I suppose...

Oh well - no regrets - and Mr JOJ looks good for around my age - let's hope he's healthy

Dude I am the exact same way.....always in control, and always a complete full range of motion.

On lots of exerises, when I can no longer do a full rep I then do partials or a drop-set to extend the set........today everyone does parsh partials.

He seems to be just as strong, as he was back in 2015. I think he still dabbles in powerlifting.

And now he's supposedly competing in the Masters Mr. Olympia. I thought that died 10 years ago after Dexter Jackson won it.
