I agree in that sense and I saw that Heavy muscle show with Eugene where he told that horrifying story. However, these don't don't give a shit about their health, so why applauding for their honesty?
I think they get applauded because we all know what goes into this lifestyle. And when shit goes wrong, the guy who fucked up may feel alone and like an idiot wondering how this could've happened to him and, seemingly, no one else. But in reality this happens so often that there are standard procedures, as Jizmo pointed out. Draining yourself, or having a doc do it, taking antibiotics, etc... Without this info people would be in serious trouble. This may also DETER people from even trying pinning UG gear after seeing how Bostin or Eugene fucked themselves up. At least Eugene's "injury" was internal and you can't actually see it, but Bostin is a walking billboard for what could go wrong if you fuck around with high doses of gear.
