Back in the day didn't everyone stay covered up prior to a show and only reveal their condition at the actual show?

Isn't there some benefit to keeping your condition a secret. Like doesn't it create more of a wow factor if the judges haven't seen a thousand pictures of you leading up to the show? Gym pics are almost always more impressive than show pics. Doesn't it look a bit disapointing to step on stage and NOT look as good as your update pic?

I'm so on board with this comment. Where's the surprise come show time? But they almost have to. Gotta generate clicks on their content. Social media is hoe these guys actually make money. Sure isn't from the shitty prize money
