Matt, Pritchett was saying "people think its easier".. But in reality, its just "different". The whip, etc.
It moves all around.

Some really good pulls. Of course its a Strongman DL (not PL), which includes straps, hitching, etc. (Which also add to a total).
Kearny has an odd technique to him, but it works for him. He beats a lot of people who outweigh him by 100 lbs.

Came in 3rd here. Odd guy,  but very strong...

I understand what Pritchett is saying, but Eddie Hall and Thor both got 1,100+ on the elephant bar, and to my knowledge, neither has gotten 1,000 on the conventional bar.

So I think it adds about 10%.

Once you get used to the bar bend/whip, the tension doesn't start for a few inches. So it's more like an elevated deadlift, from what I can tell.

Hafthor has the world record on Elephant bar at 1046 lbs.
On Normal bar he did 1105 lbs...

(I believe)

Mateusz just won another event, that odd "Stone Throw".
He has the world-record in the upcoming final event, so he's favored if it goes well for him (Frame carry).

He should at least take 2nd (maybe 1st) if all goes well for him. Pretty good comeback after 2 years being out with bad injuries..

Hooper may win though, kids amazing at 27 years old..

Mateusz wins the frame carry. He won 3 out of the 5 events this weekend, came in 2nd overall.
(Deadlift is his "weakness" and he wasnt up to par yet in the log-lift (post-surgery).

Mitchell Hooper wins the contest. Amazing rookie season, many wins and podium finishes.
Good contest all around though...
