would be my guess - and yes I tend to think both had that intended

I didn't avoid it really, I didn't comment on the statistics due to me not being able to "read" them, like I said.
I didn't check statistics myself, however I've read some arguments between pro and con, and both sides make their arguments based on the same data (of course there are fights over which data to allow and what to consider reading them).
I believe, that if say the shot killed a lot of people inarguably it would sway public opinion and would sway the authorities eventually - they would have to concede.
Regardless of the facts surrounding this whole issue, the take home part for me is how it shows what kind of trust people have of the authorities. It's shit. And I think people have good reason to not trust them, or the media, and that's a big problem for society. How is it in Russia and China, they say they have very high trust of the authorities but does it mean they never lie? I would day they do lie, but would it mean their people are more stupid than Americans or vice versa?
