Shoot him an email, if he has time I'm sure he will. Forget what he charges, I'm sure it's not cheap. If you stand to make any money, IE pro bber etc, he charges 10% of what you make if and when you win.

Actually, a friend of mine told me he got a new cleaning lady, real cheap ass. Only pays her $2 an hour, in cash.


But thing is, actually she has her business outsourced to a Polish firm, very cheap actually.

That firm didn't do the actual cleaning either, they put the contract on Monster.com, and it turned out Chad Nichols had few weeks off last summer, so he filled in.

Leave him an email message, call him, or ask someone who works with him for the reference. Chad and others do what they do best, and if he didnt do the job, he wouldnt get hired over and over again.

That being said, there are a number of contest prep people, but I would ask around competitors for their experiences.

My impression is that it IS an exact science, how many times have we not seen or heard that he was his best a week before the show, or a few days before the show, or that he looked better the day before...
To put all that work in, then screw up in the last days can't be fun.

I didn't follow the contest closely but I think I remember people saying he looked better the day after or something like that. It should be the hardest and make the biggest difference for people that haven't competed a lot, you sometimes hear about guys that lose too much muscle dieting down, which must be a nightmare considering that it takes quite a lot of work to put that muscle on in the first place...

It depends on #1 if you are competing at a high level, #2 if you want to become pro/win a pro contest, and #3 if you have the money or not. Conest prep guys are awesome, chad for example will learn the ins and outs of your body, tell you what/when to eat, get your carb loading down to a science, and he's a pro at the chemical aspect of the game. A guy like him can turn you from top 10 at national level, to getting your pro card its as simple as that. Or 9th at the O one year, to winning 8 straight the next.

If your in shape, your in shape.  If you are not, then you hear all these exotic excuses for how you missed your peak.  A contest prep guy can help in the beginning, after that you should have a good idea what works and what doesn't.  To quote Shawn Ray from years ago, "there's nothing new under the sun".

From personal experience it is good to have an outside observation even if you know what you are doing...I have a few buddies of mine that have gotten into competitive bodybuilding and I always have all of them call up or go see one of my other friends that has been into competitive bodybuilding for around 20 years for some seasoned advice...Most of those guys do really well at their first shows too instead of embarrassing themselves...
