nahhhhhh....kingdom come or the dark knight returns from 86 are better than watchmen, but watchmen was great.

That's easy. He was originally going to use the Archie Comics super heroes and do a sort of mystery thriller.

ahhhh...the archie comic super hero's, all those great characters just sitting in limbo, what I could do with them if I had time....and who is thier patriotic superhero that debuted a few months before Captain America-If I'm not mistaken.  This guy was turned to stone in the 60's and restored in the 80's much like the cap storyline where he was frozen in the 40's and brought back in the 60's.

marvel did a Cap movie, a fantastic four movie and a punisher movie in the early 90's, the cap movie used to be on youtube, don't know if it still is but it was terrible, they were so embarrased by it they didn't even release it on video...same with the FF movie.
