Federov, Kovacs, Cook, Fux, Cziurlok, Albrecht.....

No way you can consider those three in that category. Fux was a top ten Olympian and a 4th place Arnold Classic. Cziurlock also placed well at some Os. and As....and Achim was a monster, very good bodybuilder. To include these men at the same category of Kovacs and Fedorov is an insult to them and to bodybuilding. Too bad all of them 3 had gone downhill at the end of their carrers, but that doesn't equate to say they were 15 minutes famous bodybuilders.

I qualify as a 15 minute athlete Ralf Moeller and Roland Kickinger. Their carrers in bodybuilding are almost identical.....Moeller won the heavyweight class at the IFBB amateur world championships in 1987, I believe, in Spain (the same year Luiz Otavio de Freitas, from Brazil, took the overall) and competed at the '88 Olympia, where he placed dead last. Kickinger turned pro winning the 1994 Austria Nationals. Didn't do much as a pro athlete, but helped uncle Joe to sell a lot of mega mass shakes as a poster boy. Both Moeller and him didn't took too long to figure out that their future lied on movies and TV shows. They made smart moves changing carrers, much like their idol, Arnold, who they tried to emulate and end up giving a big help to them to make their first step in Hollywood.

Cziurloch was awesome, shredded, freaky, good waist. And had some good placings.

Just disappeared. Last I heard he was doing personal training in his homeland.

Achim was also a monster but had a big waist (not prego belly) which always hurt him.Met him in 94, really nice guy, very humble....

I think Dennis Newman was a HUGE Disappointment!!!

I'm not sure if I'd consider Dennis Newman a fair choice as he was struck down by illness. Now, that is an interesting question, who had the greatest potential, if illness had not gotten in the way?

I'd say Mike Francois.

chris cook and caprise murray, they were both hyped up to be the next best things, but look at any of the usa winners if they dont place well in there first showing we forget about them.
remember fahki murabak (i think i spelt his name wrong), he won his pro card the same time as phil heath and i havent heard about him since ???

Sorry, but they are 15 minutes famous bodybuilders. How long was Fux a thread?? Maximum 2 years, 97 and 98. After that nothing came from him anymore, all in all he maybe had 3 or 4 decent pro showings and that's it. Same for the other 2 guys... ;)

Cziurloch was awesome, shredded, freaky, good waist. And had some good placings.

Just disappeared. Last I heard he was doing personal training in his homeland.

Just a few days ago someone on a german board opened a thread about him asking what he does. Guys who knew or know him said that he fell really deep. Was in jail for some time for drug distribution, had major alcohol problems and got divorced. Nowadays he looks like he had never seen a gym from the inside.... :'(

Really sad to hear stuff like that and how former champs can fall. :P

Haha I only remember him from MuscleTech ads, but I guess that means he must have had some sort of impact.

1999 NPC Nationals - Overall & Super-Heavyweight Winner
1995 NPC Emerald Cup - Heavyweight Winner
1995 NPC Pacific Coast - Overall & Heavyweight Winner
1993 NPC Mr. Oregon - Overall & Heavyweight Winner
1990 NPC Mr. Oregon - Overall Teen
1989 NPC Mr. Oregon - Overall Teen

had alot of potential. all that was lacking from memory was a small chest in proportion to his torso and arms. but other than that he was a freak and aesthetic.

first lot is from 1999 npc nats, and then prejudging at the 2004 gnc.
