the rumor is the patriots spyed on the st louis rams during the rams walk thru prior to the 2001 superbowl...here is one link

GLENDALE, ARIZ. — New England coach Bill Belichick cemented his reputation as a defensive genius when his Patriots stunned Mike Martz and the Rams 20-17 in Super Bowl XXXVI.

According to the Boston Herald, Belichick might have had some help against the Rams. Some illegal help. Citing an unnamed source, the Herald reported Saturday that a Patriots employee taped the Rams' final walkthrough on the day before Super Bowl XXXVI in New Orleans.

"I think Mike always suspected something, but I had no knowledge of this," Rams President John Shaw said Saturday in Phoenix, where he is attending the Super Bowl XLII game between the Patriots and the New York Giants.

Shaw declined further comment, but said he would bring up the topic with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell next week. Shaw and Goodell are scheduled to meet next week in Los Angeles, a meeting set up before the latest allegations of cheating by the Patriots surfaced.

Hmm... teams spying on other teams... wow...

Although the NFL investigated the Rams rumor 5 months ago and found nothing, so be it. I am pretty sure that every team out other has its own special teams unit which video tapes games, plays and watches it to learn more defensive strategies. Such is life.

New York Giants had a great defensive effort today and got lucky against the 'off' Brady today.

I will never call the Pats "cheats".

I don't even think they're even remotely dirty... They've never done anything to win that I'm 99% sure the rest of the league is doing as well. I can find no fault in their playing or how they got to where they were.

The just got beat tonight... That's how the game goes.

Them winning it all, from a statistical standpoint had to be extremely unlikely... They had a great season though and will go down in the history books for more than one reason this past year.

Who cares, I watched 2 hours of it, this is not even close to a sport.
5 minutes of standing still followed by 10 seconds of running and repeat, great exertion ...

I even saw some downright fat slobs, no other 'sport' where people like that could be competitive
