To all those who are guessing about his bench press weight, Clarence is on low carbs right now that's why he is weaker then usual at this point. I was his spotter when he benched 260kg in the offseason.

Look at this pic, it clearly shows the green plates as 15kg, not the yellow. I doubt that the gym would have two different color 15kg plates, but it is possible.

More likely, it is exactly like Tim said in a previous post Red=25kg Blue=20kg Green=15kg and Yellow=10kg , so with a 20kg bar, Clarence was benching roughly 462lbs, not 485. But that is still very, very strong, even if not on low carbs during contest prep.

i trained in that gym several times.

for the Olympic-Bar (50 mm, yellow is 15 kg, red 25 kg, blue 20 kg)

for the standard 30 mm bar (as seen on this smith-press, the 15 kg´s are green)

so it´s simply different equipment (50 mm + 30 mm)

The green 15 kg´s where made from "Schnell" (Germany/Peutenhausen)

Detlef is still preparing german Athletes for this year World Championship. Yesterday i spoke in Training with my friend David Hoffmann (act. German overall winner + superheavyweight) who will be prepared by Detlef for the Quailification and hoepfully forn the Worldchampionship. Also
David Walli will be prepared by Detlef Herget in Gießen (Studio Klock).

yellows on the benchpress are 15kg (international standard plates)

the green 15kg one's are old iron only plates with a completely different diameter

very nice physique!
