that's all i'm saying, and that pegg is VERY good at this. i'm sure if he felt like it he could stay in the gym for six hours squatting his balls out every day. but he doesn't, and his 900 pound cake-easy squat is proof positive that "harder" does not equal "better".
people need to quit equating absolute effort with efficacy and worthiness as a trainer. if you can grow more doing six sets than 12, why do 12? because it'll make you look more "hardcore"? bah.
i agree most days on my major exercises each rep is so so easy.
keep it as easy as you can for as long as you can. you always have 50lbs more in the tank that way.
harder does not equal better. people dont understand this. and people get angry when you try to explain it to them. I wa stold by my mate who trains me think of it like a long jump. people stand at the tine and bash and crash their way through...getting to a level or standard of some degree of course.
myself i take a big long run up gather speed...and 9 times outta 10 i get further.
