Most Americans read less than one book per year

And judging from the Americans I've met, it shows.  I happen to read over 100 books per year.

I have never seen americans of middle class inteligence.

They are always high or low.

Mostly low.  The number of illiterate college grads in America is staggering.  An American degree is suitable for puppy training.

I read 3 or 4 books a month, mostly non-fiction but the occasional crime novel as well.

these studies are usually based on percentages...consider theres atleast 300 million people in america.
