I come from a working class ethnic blue collar family.  They helped me a bit, but could not afford to pay for everything.  The most important thing they ever gave me was a hard work ethic and a belief that if you want something you have to work and pay for it yourself.  No handouts.  

I feel uneasy about taking anything from anyone.  My belief is that I am entitled only to what I can provide for myself since I am an able bodied person and can take care of myself.  I dont want $$$$, I dont want aid, I just want to be left alone.

If I fail and screw up, its on me, not anyone else.  I have no one to blame but myself.

If I succeeed, dont tax me to oblivion because others are not willing to take the risks and put in the time I did, and do every day.

Of course I do. Starting with cutting the military budget by 50 percent and closing bases that we do not need.

I literally went door to door to local businesses until a few hired me.  Actually, it started with a plumbing company that hired me to do mechanic's liens on properties.  They refered me to other trades people, and on and on and on.

No, I know what it takes to succeed.  Its hard, its stressful, its risky, its time consuming, and that is the same with most small busineses.

Why not?  Is it because Medical bills and the failure of the Insurance Industry to pay on them is the number one cause of bankruptcies in America?

You would have lucrative work because Insurance companies, like the one I worked for, had no qualms about not covering bills using obscure reasons and language, thus causing bankruptcy after bankruptcy.

You really could rack up on people`s misfortunes and the Insurance Companies policies and loop holes.

In a perfect work I would not have a job.  I agree with you.  However, when the human element is involved with anything related to money, well, you know how that goes.  Bad things happen and I get phone calls.  

Look at this way, lets say you are a GC with 1,000,000 project.  90% of that is being subed out and the GC makes 100k income/profit.  

Lets say the GC estimated wrong and now the owner of the commercial building wants to back charge the GC 100K for shoddy work, bad estimating, etc???

What do you think the GC does???

1.  Eat it and work for nothing?

or

2.  Stiff those below him the difference?

#2 happens 99% of the time.  That is where I come in and get shit taken care of.
