I thought so too.
But we did a experiment.
If i increase the calorie with gaining way more protein and very little amount(One potato daily only) of complex carb and 500g of pine(fruits), whats gonna happen?

Well, THIS. ;)

This is what Dorian Yates did.  He kept his calories the same year round, but just replaced the carbs and fat with more protein and look how much size he kept while getting into great condition.

Try it with 600-800g protein and 75g comnplex carb.
If you feel dizzy or bad. Eat pine and that juice too.
this is a joke?

why would a natural lifter eat so much protein, it's ridiculous...

I heard it too.
But, i discover that simple carbs dont ruin my diet.
Its good to maintain insulin peak to fill your muscle.
Before, simple carbs are like banned substance for diet for me.

I think so.
But our physique is so profund and nobody know the truth yet.
Just experience will be needed.

I know. But I heard that if you train like crazy. Not dangerous.
If you dont train, then yes.

Question is if you dont gain your muscle mass, where does it go?
After the crazy hard workout, your muscle are really destroyed.
You need it way more than normal people.

Not to be a party pooper but the actual amounts of protein required for muscle repair is a very small amount. What a high protein intake can potentially do is trigger a bigger release of growth hormones. So a high protein intake may not be in vain, but certainly not necessary for muscle repair/growth. I'm sure you know this, perhaps it's just an misunderstanding.

Why not?
Interesting opinion.

But, if you are injured, i bet your body try to work more than the normal state.

I don't recall the exact numbers or percentages but people that work out do benefit more from a high a protein intake than a non-athlete. But it's nowhere near 500grams per day. When you're still making good muscle gains you add perhaps on average a couple of grams of lean muscle tissue for every workout, you could probably get that protein simply from eating a bug. But as said, an excessive protein intake serves more to stimulate the release of growth hormones and not actually required for the muscle growth itself. I bet a large % of the protein you ingest gets turned in to glycogen.

How much did you weigh in your last contest? You definitely look improved, although I'm not sure if you've put on weight or just look bigger because of your better shape.

And do you lift heavy in the offseason?

I gain much more muscle than last off season. Plus staying lean.
Thats why I am confident. Last time my contest weight was 77kg. So, being on satge with almost same weight(or even bit lower) as last year means...you know. ;)

No, i dont lift heavy any more. Since started to train with Paco, I have learned very important thing.
Before I believed, weight 50% mind 50%.
But, now I believe mind is 100%.

Maybe you guys think i am crazy, but this is what i learn.

I won't say it's crazy. The more experienced you are, the better you know what works for you and what doesn't. As long as you improve and enjoy it, it's fine.

But training heavy does give you a thicker and denser look, so I hope you incorporate some heavy, basic free weight exercises in the offseason at least for a 12 week cycle or something like that, cause naturals don't really put on a lot of muscle by lifting light (not saying you lift light, mind you).

Haha! Maybe I shouldnt have written that i dont train heavy anynmore.
Of course, we train heavy. ;) What I am saying is that we put higher value in contracting and feel muscle than lifting heavy itself.
So, we often do 6-8reps failure too. ;)
