no, make that 60% or so. a huge amount of religious people are very good people. religion is actually a very positive thing. as far as teaching one how to live a happy life. the lessons in the manyt dif bibles are for the most part lessons on forgiveness, honesty, loyalty, positive thinking, and kindness.  the whole "magician in the sky" part is obviously false and misleading... and throughout history religion has been at the center of many atrocities. but its good at the heart. ancient mans way of explaining things. the only thing they got wrong was creation.

I'll leave it at 99.9%. I was not passing any judgement, and I include myself in that number. I agree that many "religious" people are good people, just like many "unreligious" people.

And I disagree that "they" got creation "wrong". It's of course a philosophical resp. theological description of creation, not a scientific one.
