I knew a guy (full blown hippie) wore all the usual cloth – I mean text book hippie, so we had a discussion once about climate change – and when I said that there are a lot of people that make a lot of money from climate change he completely lost it, I mean he actually got real aggressive lol
And that’s the problem with these people they want to appear to be so fucking open minded and look down on anybody they believe is running with the system but deep down they are as selfish as the next person.

The ushered in a revolution that helped gain freedoms and rights for many Americans after the McCarthy era. The hippies woke up sleeping Americans to the murder and corruption our American government was perpetrating in Vietnam.  They awaken America to the destruction of our environment by greedy corporations and began the first real enviromental movement run by people not car companies. They fought sexual repression and freed many women to discover their sexuality which many of you selfish fucks are enjoying to this day.

They did a hell of lot more than generation nothingness.  Most of you could learn a thing or two from hippies, maybe then you would begin to take your country back from corporations. Put down your starbucks and ipods and get out and protest.

Go see or rent Hair and learn what it was really all about.

Well most of the forests in America are young because of rampant deforestation by farming and greedy developers who didnt even bother to preserve anything. They had no ecological awareness at all. People were clueless until that is the hippies woke them up.

There are very few areas of Old Growth forests left. But if you ever have a chance to be in one it is amazing. Like going back in time. Just beautiful.  If you ever get a chance to see the rain forests in Alaska it is well worth it.

A lot hippies of the 60 early 70's found job with the post office and other government places. Became part of "normal" America after a while. Even Wall St and banking careers. Sold out?....of course. Oregon & NoCal still have hippie compounds from the original hippie "tribes".

          don't get me started on trees in the last ten years i've had 4 differnt trees fall on my house. lightening keeps hitting them and then they fall on my house this even after i've had 5 other  trees removed.

I dont doubt there are PWC's out there:  People with Causes. They can be misinformed idiots and only identify with a cause because it gets them attention and a feeling of power. There were a lot of them in the 80's. And they often were at the gym. For some it is there whole identity. They just become useless to the cause because they do not develop themselves and irritate people more than inform them.
