I read it and they were saying money came into the district.I didnt see a single stat on there saying the money created this many jobs. Now,is this what your talking about?

When President Barack Obama comes to Charlotte today to tour Celgard, a battery-parts maker that has received $49 million in stimulus money, he's sure to tout how government money will put people to work.

He's visiting a company that hasn't yet spent any of its stimulus money, according to federal documents.

Celgard wouldn't talk Thursday about its plans or the specifics of its grant. The governor's office has said the money will help create about 300 jobs over the next five years.

Please figure out how much the 300 jobs cost when you spend 49 million? If thats the libs idea of job creation no wonder we are in the situation we are.

Billy - how did you miss all th statements by Repubs saying the Stim $$'s would create jobs.  Even Ron Paul joined the stim money gang bang

here are just a few samples

Rep. Jack Kingston (R-GA) Issued Pres Releases Bragging About Bringing Stimulus Jobs To His District. On July 28th, Kingston’s press office fired off two releases bragging about a $106,901 grant for the Alma Police Department and a $138,286 grant for the Jesup Police Department in Georgia. These grants, distributed by the Department of Justice for the “hiring of new police officers, to combat violence against women, and to fight Internet crimes against children,” were fully-funded by President Obama’s Recovery Act.

Congressman Mike Coffman (R-CO) Says He Will Advocate For Benefits Of Recovery Package Despite Opposition. During a segment with KUSA-TV, Rep. Coffman said: “I see myself in two roles as a congressman. I think the first role as a policymaker in Washington and the second as an advocate for people inside this district and there are elements we’ll probably be discussing – the mortgage proposal – there are probably elements that I disagree with that but if there’s somebody in my district eligible for that, I’ll fight to make sure they get them.” Coffman goes on to say, “I certainly supported infrastructure spending because it creates direct jobs in the private sector, clearly I support tax relief…it still puts money into the economy.” [KUSA-TV, 2/22/09]

With Ohio’s unemployment rate the highest it’s been in 25 years, I’m pleased that federal officials stepped in to order Ohio to use all of its construction dollars for shovel-ready projects that will create much-needed jobs.” [Boehner Statement, 6/15/09

In September, Cole sought funding for a grant to help develop an international trade center on a 2,700-acre industrial park, a project he called ‘a catalyst for the potential creation’ of almost 30,000 jobs

Rep. Ron Paul (R-TX) Signed Letter Requesting Stimulus Funds For NASA. According to the Houston Chronicle, the letter stated that stimulus funds for NASA would “secure good jobs and stabilize our economy.”

I never hear a pep from libs that Obama passed a trillion dollar  stimulus plan that has helped the counry lose 4 million jobs AFTER it passed.

Billy - how did the Stim Bill help the country lose 4 million jobs

can you explain the cause/effect formula on that one?

Who gives a shit what either side said. It doesn't change the fact that it an immensely wasteful and pork filled bill that did nothing and will do nothing to right the economy. Stimulus bills never do. Look at the claims presented and compare them with the actual economy that we find ourselves dealing with at this moment.

Gigantor:

People like Straw, 240, Benny, blacken, despite overwhelming evidence will never admit failure of Obama's policies, promises, claims, etc because to do so is an admission of failure on their own part of their twisted ideology on economics and other related issues.

Many, including the both of us, said from day one that the Stim Bill would be a massive waste of money and not do squat for UE.

They can't distinguish between "make work" temporary jobs and the reality that years from now, we will have spent 900 Billion for nothing and not one permanent private sector job will have been created.

Its like declaring victory after after I pay a kid to clean my garage for two hours and claiming I am helping the UE situation.  Its all bs and smoke and mirrors tailor made for the Straws, Bennys, KCs, and (Depending on the day) 240's of the world.

The stimulus bill pumped money into the economy.EVERYTIME throughout history that the government pumps money into the economy the private sector is hurt.Thats ANY country anywhere anytime. If the government would simply get out of the way,cut taxes for buisiness and get rid of the assinine regulations the economy and UE would improve.

Once again,Regan came in and the economy was WORSE then it was for Obama. His prigram cut taxes and got rid of regulation. The results? The private sector created 30,000,000 jobs.Obama came in,pumped money into the economy, hired public workers, put in stricter regulations the result?7 million jobs lost.

The results speak for themselves.Al those shovel ready jobs, not one has come through.Police and teacher hiring?Who cares thats public jobs paid for by us NOT the private sector. This little communuity organisers plan is a failure and he will pay for it in Nov.

Hey Billy if you would be so kind to site where you get these numbers. And for clarification, Regan single handedly created 30 million jobs? Also. The stim bill did nothing at all and had no positive effect on the economy? Are those your claims. If so are there any neutral studies/reports you can site?

I think my post said Reagan cut taxes and cut regulations and THE PRIVATE SECTOR created 30,000,000 jobs.Unlike Barck Hussein Obama I dont believe government creates ANY meaningful jobs.

Can I prove that the stimulus didnt create jobs?Well since it passed we are down 4 million jobs.UE is at 9.7% what proof is needed other then that that its the biggest waste of money in history.
