Yeah, I'd let them join a church. Even a Catholic one. Just not the Church of Getbig.  In order to join you have show yourself in a thong. I don't want someone telling my son, "You have potential..."

thank you.  roman catholic for a life-time and not one problem.  cub n boy scout for 4-5 yrs and not a problem.  dont see a problem if my kid joined...just tell kids dont let people touch you in funny ways n ways that make you uncomfortable.

I would let him join the Scouts but I would also volunteer to be an assistant Scoutmaster and go on the overnights with him. I was a life scout my brother was an Eagle we did scouts when we lived in Brooklyn as kids and we were both Boy scout camp counselors in Upstate New York as teen for New York City Troops never had any issues learned a lot.
